Today we are happy to release three new payment processors for Caldera Forms and Caldera Forms 1.3. While this new version of Caldera Forms has some really cool improvements to the form editor and several “under the hood” type enhancements for making processors easier to create. That is not all we are excited about.

Introducing Dwolla, BrainTree and Authorize.net For Caldera Forms

With BrainTree for Caldera Forms, you can integrate credit card fields directly into your Caldera Forms. Most US based companies will pay no fees for their first $50,000 worth of charges.

All three of these processor can take full advantage of Caldera Form’s powerful conditional logic, it is an excellent tool for WordPress registration forms. When coupled with the users add-on, you can create a registration, login and payment form for events, webinars, eBooks, and other simple eCommerce applications.

A New Partnership With WordImpress

The three new plugins we released today are based on GiveWP add-ons. They are providing us with access to all of the GiveWP git repos. The new payment processors are based on GiveWP add-ons and we are exploring other ways of working together.

I have know Matt and Devin from WordImpress for a few years via the AdvancedWP Facebook group, and had the chance to meet them at WordCamp Miami earlier this year. This partnership between our companies will hep us both grow, and we look forward to seeing it evolve over time.

What Is New In Caldera Forms 1.3

One of the most common requests we’ve had for to improve our already awesome WordPress form builder plugin was conditional groups. Conditional field logic was one of the things that attracted me to Caldera Forms as a user. But as a user, I always wished I could make a whole group of fields, a whole row, a whole column or any grouping hide, show or disable based on the same condition, without redoing the same setting over and over again.

Conditional groups in Caldera Forms 1.3 delivers that. When I first tested out this new feature, I was so excited, I had to show it off, which I did in this video:

The other cool new enhancement to the UI is that we have removed the “Add Row” button at he top of the layout editor and moved it to the bottom of the grid. You can still move the row up after creating it. Having the button where the row appears — at the bottom — is a little thing that makes using our responsive layout editor a little nicer.

Here are some screenshots of the new and improved UI:

Along with these improvements, we have updated translations for German (de_DE), Spanish (es_ES), French (fr_FR), Japanese (ja), Portuguese (pt_PT), Turkish (tr_TR) and fixed several minor bugs, as well as improved inline documentation.

The update to Caldera Forms is available now via WordPress.org or the plugins admin screen in WordPress.

More To Come

We are continuing with an ambitious product roadmap. We expect to have minor updates to Easy Pods, Easy Queries and Clarity For FacetWP later this week. In addition, we are close to having our front-end form viewer, and Connected Forms in beta soon, and have several other Caldera Forms add-ons in development.

The future is very exciting as we continue to grow, improve and develop new partnerships and relationships.
