I’ve worked with a good number of non-profit organizations, and one thing is always true in 2017: a non-profit’s website is a key portal for both constituent engagement and donor engagement. It’s the channel for information about its services, a crucial point of contact for mobilizing volunteers towards its cause, and showcasing its successes to drive those much-needed donations.
I also know that there’s a lot of non-profit organizations out there, and they struggle to stand out above the noise of a hectic modern world with limited resources. That’s where peer-to-peer fundraisers come in: people are most likely to listen to the influence of their friends, so if you can give your existing donors a way to fundraise on your behalf, you can really stretch your existing donor outreach. A little goes a long way, so to say.
That’s why I was pretty excited to see Matt Cromwell, Head of Support at GiveWP, put together this detailed tutorial on how to set up a WordPress site to allow donors to create peer-to-peer fundraising pages using their product and Caldera Forms. GiveWP is a great plugin for donation management on WordPress sites. It, alongside products of ours Matt chose to showcase – namely, Custom Fields for Caldera Forms, make for a shockingly easy solution to a pretty tricky endeavor. Check it out, and let us know what you think in comments or tweet at us at @CalderaWP.
